Jennifer HillHow The Owl Came to be Hillside's Representation
In the fall of 2014, while driving in the pouring rain, Investigator Hill observed a small object located on the shoulder of a main thoroughfare, which appeared to be an owl. Upon turning around and placing the emergency 4-way signals on, the small object was determined to be a screech owl that had been hit by a vehicle. The little owl was carefully placed in a blanketed cage and was escorted to the Page Wildlife Center, under the care of Cynthia Page, a NYS DEC licensed wildlife rehabilitator. After approximately six months of rehabilitation, the little screech owl was released back to nature - the ultimate goal when finding an injured animal who can be rehabilitated. Hillside Investigative Services is a proud supporter of the Page Wildlife Center and the educational programs they offer.
